Dr. Brad Lundahl

Brad Lundahl earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University. He is a tenured associate professor at The University of Utah. In addition, Brad owns Compass Counseling and Consulting, a private practice where he works with individuals, families, and businesses. Dr. Lundahl specializes in Motivational Interviewing and other clinical approaches. His research has been cited over 6,000 times.

Jim Bennett

Jim Bennett graduated from Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Jim has over three decades of experience in both public and private industry sales and consulting. His experience is extensive, as he has held roles such as entrepreneur, business founder, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Executive Officer

How it Started

Hi, I’m Dr. Brad Lundahl, and I hope to be helpful to you. During my early years as a practicing psychologist, I was routinely confused and overwhelmed when working with patients; however, through training in Motivational Interviewing and language analysis, I developed a system that clarifies patients’ speech, which then guides my interventions. As my confusion faded, my success skyrocketed. In addition to learning about the human condition through conducting 15,000+ therapy sessions over the past 25 years, I have taught thousands of students at The University of Utah and across the globe through my consulting business. My friends in business routinely told me that therapy and sales had much in common. I’m confident you will enjoy greater success through the combined knowledge and skills Jim and I bring to you in The Color of Sales.

Hi, I’m Jim Bennett. I’m the founder of a consulting firm that has grown immensely in the last 10 years. Selling is a big passion of mine. I love practicing sales and teaching others about sales. My company has sold over $200 million in consulting services. As a salesperson myself, I’ve sat in thousands of sales meetings, listening to prospects and decoding their language. I started to notice patterns and anticipate common objections and opportunities. Over my 15 years of sales experience, I built a toolbox of skills and strategies that I could use in any meeting to successfully close or progress the sale.
